We are looking for an Executive Chef who shares our passion for healthy, whole-food cooking and understands the profound impact of nutrition on senior health. Position Overview:
As the Executive Chef, you will lead our culinary team in delivering exquisite, nutritious meals that align with the Food is Medicine movement. Your expertise will help elevate the dining experience for our residents, incorporating whole foods and specialized dietary needs while adhering to Title 22 guidelines. You will have the opportunity to create innovative menus, manage kitchen operations, and foster a team that is passionate about both the art of cooking and the science of nutrition.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the culinary team in preparing gourmet, nutrient-dense meals designed to meet the dietary needs of seniors, with a specific focus on Damentia-friendly nutrition.
Develop and execute seasonal menus that promote optimal health and cognitive function, using whole, organic ingredients and healing foods.
Ensure compliance with Title 22 regulations, as well as all food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.
Work closely with the healthcare and dietary teams to customize meal plans based on individual resident needs, preferences, and health conditions.
Oversee all kitchen operations, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and efficiency.
Maintain inventory, manage food costs, and ensure kitchen supplies are always stocked with premium, health-focused ingredients.
Train, mentor, and lead kitchen staff, creating an environment that fosters creativity, attention to detail, and a passion for nourishing meals.
Actively engage with residents, creating a warm and inviting dining atmosphere that enhances their overall dining experience and well-being.
Stay current with the latest trends in nutrition and healthy cooking, integrating the most beneficial ingredients and food practices into daily meals.
