Required Skills
Must have required health screening, TB clearance, and criminal record clearance.
May be required to hold valid First Aid Certification.
Licensure as an administrator in states requiring such licensure and must meet the minimum educational requirements required by state licensing
A bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university, with emphasis in fields dealing with Business Administration, Personnel Administration, Gerontology, or related field dealing with service to elderly is recommended.
Must have knowledge of the ability to follow applicable laws and regulations. Must also be able to administer the facility according to such.
Hire and train qualified staff
Provide and supervise care of residents
Maintain facility records
Operations experience specific to retirement housing, assisted living, long term care or related fields of experience operating and maintaining a quality, customer-oriented workforce is recommended.
Possess strong human relations skills and skills and experience with the ability to communicate with diverse levels of employees.
Competent working knowledge of Microsoft office, along with basic typing skills is essential.
Possession of a valid and current driver’s license
Possess the ability to gain trust, communicate both written and verbally, listen, problem solve, organize, plan, and supervise.
Maintain a positive attitude toward the ill, disabled, and elderly.
Must be willing to travel, including air travel.
